And the Saga Continues…..

After consulting with his wisemen (key board members, advisors, and shareholders), the CEO has decided to file a report with the local authorities as DF continues on his relentless pursuit of slander and sabotage. Now, filing this report is not a simple procedure. The Entrepreneur must drive a great distance (to our warehouse), and sleep all night in his truck (true story, waiting for the police). Finally, dawn broke and the officer appeared to scribe this all-important paper that will hold DF responsible for his actions.

Now we are Getting Somewhere…

In the meantime, the Entrepreneur has hired an additional consigliere who specializes in such matters. They were able to draw up a letter to notify DF of his administrative leave. DF, laughing in the face of the law, has decided to ignore the order of administrative leave. It’s fine. He can hang himself with his own rope. DF continues to send desperate and irrational emails to the wisemen. He continues to contact employees. But, being DF, he also continues his many vacations. These are opportunities. While DF is off on weekends of debauchery, our entrepreneur snags this opportunity to get to work.

Getting to Work….

It is during this time that the CEO is bringing order and communication to the team at work…….

You know what???? This is fucking exhausting. Finding out that someone you have trusted for 8 years can betray you this way and be so hideous about it is exhausting. Not only is the betrayal insidious, but waking up every morning to whatever grenade has been thrown feels like living in a mine field. You never know if your next step is going to blow up in your face. I wanted to paint this in kind of a witty manner, but it has come to a point where I find it extremely challenging to find any way to write this with wit. Maybe this is why you only hear the stories of entrepreneurs after they have succeeded. This is the shit. The fucking shitty middle. AKA the present.
